Free collection of hazardous waste is available through a program sponsored by Dauphin County. Residents can call and arrange for the collection of old paint, used oil, pesticides, and auto batteries by a licensed, private contractor.

Penn Waste is the refuse hauler for the Borough of Middletown. They also handle the practice of weekly collection of items for recycling. Residents are reminded that recycling is mandatory in the Borough of Middletown.

Your weekly collection days will remain the same (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday). Your weekly service consists of four 32 gallon trash bags or cans, one bulk item and unlimited curbside recycling. Please be aware that each bag/can must not exceed 32 gallons or 50 pounds. Overweight bags and cans are unsafe for our loaders to lift. Also, please have your items placed at the curb prior to 6:30 A.M.

To have Woody Waste removed, contact the Highway Department at 948-3054. To obtain access to the Borough's Woody Waste facility, contact the Finance Office at 948-3010 or 948-3011 to obtain a swipe card.
